Fall 2007

I started making sunflowers last winter when I put a big one on Laura's Jacket.
I had a creative epiphany making these. I normally just make 1 of "anything".
This time I didn't get to agonize over every tiny scrap. I get pretty hung up on that!!
If it didn't fit at first, I actually moved on and used it on the next - or the next - or the next.
There was always a perfect place for each tiny special piece that I'd carefully cut.
HA! (my word for the year) I felt like I had been set free!!

All cotton batik scraps, fused to multiple layers stitch n tear
Machine stitching
